A sturdy, empty clay vessel with a matte, earthy glaze stands at the center of a smooth stone surface, its wide opening facing upward as if ready to be filled. From above, a gentle beam of diffused, cool white light pours down, creating a soft glow within the vessel while leaving the surroundings in subtle shadow. Wisps of almost imperceptible vapor-like light seem to rise and swirl around the rim, hinting at the unseen work of the Spirit. Photographic realism emphasizes fine textures in the clay and stone, with a minimalist, clean background that gradually blurs. Shot at eye level with centered composition, the mood is humble, expectant, and deeply peaceful, symbolizing yielding and openness to divine direction.

Our Journey

Walking with the Holy Spirit, trusting Jesus to guide Vessel Ops wherever He desires.

About

Following the Spirit’s Lead

Vessel Ops began with a simple yes in Minnesota, a willingness to be a poured-out vessel wherever the Holy Spirit leads, learning to listen, obey, and serve as His story unfolds in everyday places.

An antique brass compass with a finely etched rose and a slightly tarnished, well-used casing rests on a rough-hewn dark wooden deck, its needle pointing steadily toward an unseen direction. Beside it lies a hand-bound leather journal, open to blank, cream-colored pages that catch a shaft of golden hour sunlight streaming from the side. The background fades into a soft bokeh of coiled ropes and blurred ship details, captured in photographic realism with a shallow depth of field. The atmosphere feels quiet, expectant, and reverent, suggesting preparation for a journey led by the Holy Spirit. Framed with the compass on the rule of thirds, the image emphasizes discernment and readiness rather than a clearly mapped route.
A weathered wooden sailing vessel, its hull rich with deep navy paint and golden trim, floats on a calm, glasslike sea that fades into mist at the horizon. The sails are unfurled, made of textured cream canvas subtly illuminated by soft morning sunlight breaking through low clouds. A faint, translucent glow surrounds the mast, suggesting the unseen presence of the Holy Spirit guiding its direction. Shot in photographic realism from a slightly elevated, wide-angle perspective, the boat is placed on the lower third of the frame, with expansive open water ahead. Gentle ripples and reflections create a serene, contemplative mood, symbolizing trust and obedience when the destination is still unknown.
